The National Standards Council (UNBS Board) is conducting a field monitoring tour of the Oil and Gas Sector activities in the Albertine region.

The field visit is coordinated by the Petroleum Authority of Uganda(PAU) and is aimed at enhancing standardization, Quality Assurance,Testing and Metrology for sustainable development of the Oil and Gas Sector in Uganda.

The UNBS Executive Director, Eng.James Kasigwa, notes that the sector represents the largest investment of the country and standards are critical in ensuring that these investments create a lasting value to the economy.
