RESUMPTION OF PVOC FOR USED MOTOR VEHICLES EFFECTIVE 15TH MARCH 2019
NOTICE TO ALL USED MOTOR VEHICLE IMPORTERS, DEALERS & THE GENERAL PUBLIC
UNBS is mandated to protect the health and safety of the public and our environment through the implementation and enforcement of compulsory Uganda Standards. Used motor vehicles imported into Uganda are assessed against US 845:2017 - Road vehicles — Requirements for inspection and testing of used motor vehicles for roadworthiness, a compulsory Uganda Standard that includes check for radiation before shipment. The vehicles must meet other regulatory requirements including the 15 years age limit.

Used motor vehicles imported into the country are assessed against the US 845:2008 – Road vehicles — Code of practice for inspection and testing of used motor vehicles for roadworthiness, a compulsory Uganda Standard.
