Draft Standards for Public Review

Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) in collaborating with Agribusiness Initiative Trust (aBi-Trust) is developing the following standards;

1. DUS 999, Fresh chilli pepper — Specification
2. DUS 923; Code of practice for Horticulture Industry and;
3. DUS 1536; Code of Practice for Prevention and Reduction of Ochratoxin A Contamination in Coffee

The draft standards are due for the public review process for the general public to give their
comments on their suitability for implementation.  

UNBS requests stakeholder to read the standards and send comments by 8th July 2013. It
would also be appreciated if stakeholders with no specific comments to make and find the draft
standards generally acceptable notified UNBS. Comments should be sent on the attached ballotform. 

Detailed comments should be provided on a separate sheet of paper identifying the number ofthe clause to which they refer. Suggestions entailing revision of text and should indicate
preferred wording.
